Guy Finially emailed me back. Looking at a 1983 cr250. Usual stuff, recent rebuild, various New & upgraded parts.
guy wants $1000

To me I'm pretty happy what that price, for what these bikes are. It's not the 87-89 cr model with the better suspension, but heh.

Weekend toy, camp toy. Good buy? I know some of you a're Ontario guys.

Might ve looking at a rm125a and a CANAM MX6 250B. Depending on price, but meh
/nvm Guy wants way to much for the rm and mx6

I couldnt ride a bike that old, but if you are just using it a few times a year, sure.

I can not believe you can't find a newer CR 250 than one 30+ years old for $1000.

I'd keep looking around. Maybe even get a cr125 but a hell or a lot newer.

This bike ended up being beat up pretty bad. He told me great shape, New rebuild etc etc. I didn't buy

I ended up buying a 92 kx250 for 650. Much better shape ( had one good drop though, all fixed minus one piece of plastic that's stitched) it's over bored, although specifics are UN known.my buddy who I bought it off never really rode it. 3-4 times in his yard. Said it bogged out on him lots, the he proceeded to tell me he ran 20:1. So im 90% I fixed that with proper mixture. Front tire was shot and that's off getting fixed so I haven't ran it yet.

Pics comming

He filled the tank, tried to drive it s few times than parked it, I drained over half a tank that was still left from the first ttime he put gas in it

A 250 isn't exactly small. And the 83 cr250 was a great year for Honda. It completely dominated. Last year of drum breaks too, their great bikes

Pretty much. Beat the bag off it, have some fun.

My only concern is it feels kinda bulky, (I'm only 6foot)the weight seems ok, I unloaded it np, no ramps or snything, lift it on blocks. Doesn't seem too bad. Feels big for size though. Time will tell when I get it running and start playing.

Swapped gear oil, proper fuel mixture, New plug and air filter, tire is getting replaced. exciting stuff. Might spend the $70 on all New fresh plastics one day
