Its an old rear drum brake, and the pivot arm that comes out of the drum has seized up. I'm curious if there is a way to remove it to lube it up. I've tried blowing brake cleaner and wd40 both in there to try and break up and remove the gunk inside with no luck. Its so stiff that i have to smack the shit out of the pivot arm with a rubber mallet to get it to move. I tried tapping on the gear that the pivot arm attaches to, to see if it would come out of the casing, no luck there either though. I dont wanna continiously beat on something that isnt mean to be removed though.
