After putting a mild lift my daily this winter, iv'e really grown to love the ride quality and no longer avoiding potholes/bad roads/off road in general.
So I broke down and decided to invest in new wheels because i couldn't find any i liked, and the ones i had were terrible.

Settled on some reps lol, ESM 009 15x8 et10 (57.1 hub centered, 5x100 single drill) Did my research and found great reviews with hardly any complaints to change my mind.
Once i mounted them i knew they would poke out some, but with my A/T's slightly stretched on them the end result was even more rally like lol.... love having something outside the normal B)

Just ordered some 20mm spacers with bolts for the rear to even out the poke (had to use my current bigger 15mm spacers up front to clear the calipers, running 10mm in the rear atm) and looking into some custom fender flares :)

Might end up getting some flat center caps from esm, not really much on the nut style ones.
Did finally have a reason to open my VW valve steam caps tho, they go nicely with the slime metal valves :)

me and a few others where talking about that yesterday, it fit in well back when i was dropped low... but now it is a little off tbh, been looking into other ideas or something smaller
bad thing is, if i remove it ill be tempted to sell it then never get it back lol. it's actually an extremely rare Beetle RSI Cup style spoiler, only a few dozen still exist in the states these days =/

lol so it pokes too much in the front so you're going to make it poke more in the rear? Why not just get some wheels that actually fit properly to begin with?

budget, all the others i looked at cost hundreds more and i really liked these. cost 400$ total shipped.

but i do intend to make some custom flares soon enough to help. i went into this wanting some poke out of it ;)

extra cost of right fitting wheels would make up the cost of buying more spacers/custom flares, no?

depends on how you look at it, the esm's i liked were all et10. honestly all the other wheels i liked weren't reps and would be far more than some flares and spacers on top.
but again i went in wanting poke, just getting spacers because at the moment it's easy to tell the fronts poke more and thats not a look i like.

idk flares might be pushing it over the top, especially if you are gonna leave em black like the rest of the trim on your car.

Just my opinion of course, but most of the cars I see running flares just looked riced out
