Picking up a '95 Volvo 940 turbo'd (B230) loaded wagon, free from my parents, they don't want it anymore. Around 300k miles, (abs/speedometer wire snapped at 220k) not too accurate but it runs, feels and looks new. Perfect compression, 100% maintenance records since new, 100% stock/original.

Going to be pushing some minor mods, looking for 230hp-ish. Will do a run around to ensure it's in perfect mechanical shape beforehand, ofc.

Looks like this but red, will be getting a paint job -

I'm a fan of the turbo brick for sure. That thing has potential.

Painting it myself. Why would I spend that kind of money on this car? I'll only be dropping ~$750 or so altogether for minor modifications.

Total cost out of pocket ~$750

Total granny wagon, but awesome regardless. Used to roll with a '98 S70 T5 for a while, I got rid of it and have been wanting a pre-ford Volvo again.

needs a narrowed dana 60 and tubed so it can hold 1500hp

and need a big nasty motor with a blower sticking out the hood, with that classic drag stance, all leand over on the nose

turbobricks.com has everything you need to know

Have fun with it! I have 780 myself pushing a good amount of power over stock, ms'd and it's a blast.

First thing I'd suggest is do the research and find out if that year b230ft has the thicker 13mm rods as opposed to 9mm, or else it's gonna go boom before you know it lol

Regardless, I'm not going to attempt pushing more than 250bhp; If I do decide to do so, I'll probably get custom rods.

Just simple mods

Low res cat
Boost Enhancement
Calibrated Boost Gauge
Performance cam
Adjustable cam timing wheel
Double valve springs
Air/Fuel ratio guage
Elevated boost
