has anyone color matched line-x their rockers. I lost a bit of paint when I removed the chrome doorstrips. So its either paint, or silver line-x

If it's small I would try to color match is a best as possible but doesn't have to be 100% it's not that noticeable.
But you want to seal it before rust starts getting to it.
I think I would go for the line-x because I think it might repeal the water more than paint.

I strongly considered doing this a couple months ago...

I was quoted around 1200$ by 2 different line-x facilities to do from my body line down professionally there. That was with uv coating so it doesn't fade much. Although I don't think this increased price much.

I was gonna do from the body line down on both sides of my Silverado. Kind of how you truck has a horizontal body line going across the doors etc.

Imo it's not worth it..herculiner it yourself for 90$ Which you can pick up at any autoparts store.
You will get the exact same affect. Look it up, people who did it are very happy and it holds up really really well.
It will fade over time to more of a gray though but linex will as well some.

Or you can do what I decided on and spray the rockers with a SEMs rubber undercoating. Its not quite as durable as bedliner obviously but its good quality stuff unlike the shit you get at walmart for 6 bucks a can. The SEMs is like 20$ a can.
Should be all you need but if it ever gets damaged you can just respray.
Another benefit of this is if the rockers are ever damaged you could actually repair it unlike with bedliner on it..at least it would be a pita..

Oh and Im talking about stuff black in color obviously..you should consider doing from the body line down in black. Given the looks so far of you truck like the front bumper it would look badass. Ive seen other trucks like this and it's nice looking imo.

Otherwise if you want it professional Line-X can spray it silver like your truck and it would look nice but cost a lot.

A grand for that work sounds like highway robbery to me. If it were my truck, I'd chip guard and topcoat it black. Everything from the running boards, up to the top of where the rocker meets the door sil.

Yeah chip guard is whay I meant to say, I couldn't think of the name lol. I said undercoating..

That's how mine is done. And I don't make the prices I'm just saying what all the line-x places told me.
