I was curious to know if anyone has had experience with GE vehicles in the past. I have a 94 s10 4.3 vortec engine TBI, and I am trying to take off the serpentine belt. Problem is, I don't know where the tensioner is.. but I do have some pictures. I have tried searching online and it appears there is a 3/8 in hole where a socket goes on the bottom-left side of my water pulley but it's not on mine.

I'm not 100% certain but I would think that it would be either/both of the wheels without the grooves for the belt ( belt facing the middle ) because they are placing a compression force on the belt.

the one by itself on the bottom is just a guide pulley, the one attached to the A/C compressor is the tensioner

Good to know. I had no idea but based on simple physics it had to be one of the two. Thanks mate.

the black one directly under the big white piece in the first picture. get a socket that fits that bolt and i believe you push down from the drivers side.

I did it with a 04 impala SS 3.8 supercharged and it was a nice little extra.
