Caddillac finally has priced the ATS-V, time will only tell if the whole 1400 will make a difference in peoples decision when buying a sport luxury car.

I'm sure it'll be a nice car and it may even be faster than an M3, but its not going to beat the whole package the M3 brings to the table. That said, after a couple years depreciation it should be a great buy.

And the Mercedes you were looking for was the C63, not the E550.

Nah, not buying a Cadillac to go fast. Rather a lightly used Cayman S.

People that want to buy German are probably going to buy German no matter what the ATS can do. I do think there is a consumer group out there that would LIKE to buy American if the car is on equal footing. The ATS-V is taking the CTS-V's "Corvette with a suit" mentality down to a smaller car which is interesting. The non-V version is a good car already. I have no doubt the V is going to shock plenty of people when they start testing it. If nothing else it will push the people of Bavaria to make even better cars.

I'm excited to see test numbers and impressions because this car is essentially a 6th gen Camaro with extra options that won't be available in the first few years.

For that money I would personally buy a c63 AMG for that class of a car.

Thats me though. The ATS-V sounds like a very exciting car. Excited to see it.

im just a little upset GM is straying away from a V8 powerplant for the ATS-V, i guess a V6 TT makes more sense, but im still disappointed.
Hopefully the 6th gen camaro will have a V8 in it. Atleast GM is stepping up their game to compete with the German car companies, and may even steal some buyers from them as well.

Theres no way they'd bring out a new camaro without a V8 lol.
