Decided not to go hydro dip and just do a basic paint setup. I like things looking good but not flashy. I got some chrysler phantom black paint to match my car for the engine dress up parts, and i got some chrysler intense blue pearl for the brace and half cover backers.

6 hours start to finish of preping, painting, and clearcoating.

I should have mentioned i got to test out my new binks hvlp gun. My last binks2001 gun fell off the shelf a while back and kinda killed itself lol. This new one is slick

Yeah i was contemplating daytona blue pearl or intense blue pearl. I went with intense blue pearl and couldnt be happier with the outcome.

i want to do something on the black though, idk what yet. airbrushing maybe

i prefer pearl over candy personally. Candy is to "bedazzly" lol. It really depends what kind of base and intermediate coat you do i guess for candy because candy can have very different looks vs pearl is mostly all the same / fine crushed mother of pearl in the intermediate coat giving it an iridescent/liquid/glow look.
