I thought I would share my "history" as I'm sitting in the hospital with nothing better to do. I was born with a heart defect called aortic stenosis..which is a condition where the aortic valve doesn't pump blood right in side the heart and leads to backflow. At 2 weeks old I had my first open heart surgery to fix the valve. My mom was actually told to take me home as I would be dead in 48 hrs. As any good mom she didn't take that for an answer and found a doctor to perform the surgery. This surgery lasted until I was about 11 years old, where my heart started to worsen again. I had another surgery to replace the valve. This was a complete failure. When I was 13 I had a heart transplant at children's hospital in Denver, CO. This heart did me fairly well until Sept of 2013 where I went into small rejection. Had a heart attack and went into heart failure. I was in the hospital for about a month where they weren't sure I was going to make it. As of now I'm back on the transplant list waiting on another heart. I have pretty regular hospital stays and am currently here due to an ingrown tonail which infected my foot. But they need to make sure the infection heals and not create a clot or spread to my heart which could be fatal. This is the first time I've posted my story on a forum or really online..but since our recent killer me tragedy and sine I've been posting here longer than anywhere else I figured I would share. Thanks everyone

would have never if thought you had such serious problems in your life tbh. most people act so differently when their life is always at risk of being cut short but you seem very normal.

glad to see you took the positive route with all this and thanks for sharing.

I feel exactly the same way. That's a crazy story man. You are a prime candidate for a transplant by the sound of it. Best of luck to you.

If i crash and burn you can have mine. I'm a donor. I don't get much cardio and i eat a lot of meat but my blood work is great. It would be a tail light warranty though.

Haha thanks guys. I try not to let my health problems dictate my life...though they do hinder it a lot. I'm currently on about 13 medications and have countless other.operations and surgeries..this is kinda the main outline. Actually earlier today they had to remove my large toe toenail lol.

One of my BJJ peeps had an issue with a toenail continually getting ingrown and infected. He had it surgically removed. Looks funny, but no more ingrown nail problem. =p

It's nasty business. They didn't kill the root for me so it can grow back. It's actually ez. They just give a few lidocaine shots on your toe then pull the thing right off and clean it up. I just have to soak it in Epsom salt water and put some gel stuff on it for a bit.
