Been thinking about snow tires for a bit.. Gonna go with it

Just gonna buy simple 25 to 30 dollar steel rims...



So a few questions


1. What are the dimensions of ideal tires for my vehicle ?

2012 Chevrolet Orlando lt

2. What happens if I stray outside that realm a little in terms of sizing?

Help me find some decent city tires .. I don't deal with horrible conditions , but the all seasons turn to pucks and slide in any ice or slush or cold weather .

Would just mount them on steel rims .. No big deal don't need anything fancy

I've never really cared about winter tires and thought it was a gimmick , then I had a near miss because my puck tires were hard as rocks and slid.

You thought winter tires were a gimmick?

1. 225 50r 17
2. You might be able to go up a size, but anymore and the tires will rub in the fender well, or just won't fit.
3. A good all year tire are bf Goodrich ATs..

Snow tires aren't really designed for ice or slush fyi. They're designed for snow.

You'd be better off with a set of good all seasons. It sounds like the ones you have might need replacing.

I had an appt booked at crappy tire , $550 some brand new decent winter tires installed and balanced. I went on kijiji and found a set of good year Nordics with over 85% tread for $120.

If your not worried about snow don't get an aggressive snow tire , get some with those small grooves and divits and what not. They will bite ice better.

But your in London Ontario... I don't get why you don't already have a set on, for te past month - 6 weeks atleast.

If you knew him, you would understand why.
