So some of you may know i have a 2004 GTO LS1

The problem is i see many cars coming out with just as much power if not more

the new camaros are over 400hp, challengers/chargers r/ts, new mustangs ect, hell even caddy's new cts has over 400hp are a little quicker than the goat.

but i'm debating on whether to trade in the GTO (im a little hesitant as now they are getting to be a bit rare) or just to add some go fast parts to it, maybe some FI

or the ofc other option is just leave it the way it is, dont trade it in and just not worry about other cars.

its paid off, and that is one thing i have considered, possibly something AWD, as colorado isnt very friendly to the gto.

How much horsepower can you add to your gto with 40,000 dollars?

Hope this answer your question.

Seriously though. Sure new cars make more power. If I were in your shoes. I'd dump some money into the gto and buy a dd. You'd still spend less than buying a new car lol

If you had an ls2 goat I'd say mod it, but in what you'd spend the modify the ls1 you might as well just get an ls2. At the same time, for what a good LS2 would cost you could pretty well buy a 2011 5.0 and have something even faster. It all depends on what you want.
