Just wanted some input

-07 dodge 2500 Cummins
4wd
quad cab
20k miles
$35k

-15 jeep wrangler Rubicon
$33k

-12 Chevy Silverado 2500 6.0
4wd
32k
$31k

The jeep sounds fun, but functionality isn't there..
the silverado is immaculate, and seems solid.
the Cummins is a cummins..

Not really trying to spend over 40k, but I'm a little flexible if you guys have any other ideas.

cummins is a 6.7 I assume? If you live in a city where you can delete you will need to throw a bit more money at it to make it reliable. If you don't need a diesel I would save yourself the money.

None of the above.

Get a 1500 silverado or a duramax 2500. NN gas 2500. It will depreciate like mad.

If the 07 Cummins is a 5.9 thats good but the trans is shit and even with that low of mileage you will be disappointed with everything but the drivetrain at that price point.

Jeep brah. Nah.

the 07 can be a 5.9L with the 48rfe or a 6.7L with the 68rfe

If it's a 5.9L 35k is a fucking steal... That truck is worth 42-45k to the right buyer all day long

if its a 6.7L thats still a touch low. around 38k would be a fair market price depending on the trim level

my red truck was an 08 3500 srw. Same thing, just different rear leafs as the 07 6.7L
That did 50k miles pulling a well over legal weight pulling truck and enclosed trailer with only a egr and dpf delete. That was before trans tuning was out. It's a solid truck. I'd go back to an early 6.7L in a heart beat

I know it can be either... come on dude. I was saying an 07 5.9 with that mileage it would be better for him than the 6.7 but the trans is weaker.

I own an 06 and there is no way I'd pay $35k for one regardless of mileage. It's fair market value but the rest of the truck is not up to snuff for that price considering he doesn't NEED diesel pulling power since he is considering a gas 2500 silverado. He can get a way nicer truck that will still do what he wants for less money.

Look at it from an investment standpoint as well. If hes going to dd this thing and rarely tow. Buy a gas job.

If hes going to use it mainly for towing and keep the miles per year low. Buy the diesel...
