Need an idea for a good car stereo deck for this guy. The factory one is in "Safe mode" and I don't have the code to unlock it.. Called Audi up. and they want $65 for the code... So I figured might as well go aftermarket deck.
I was thinking something fancy, with touch screen and all that good stuff.
Obviously i'm looking best bang for buck.

good stuff meaning what? just like bluetooth/gps/sat radio?

if you already have a smartphone that you use for gps i'd suggest just keep doing that because it jumps the price of a head unit up a lot.

Oh yeah I don't need GPS. But Bluetooth and AUX honestly would be enough for me. Maybe an Ipod/Iphone plug in. I haven't messed around with stereos for years.. Last I checked Kenwood was amazing. But that was like 8 years ago lol.

kenwood and pioneer still pretty much dominate the market.

is it going to need to be a motorized touch screen? pictures i google show it to be a single din factory slot but i figured i'd ask to be sure.

Yeah it will be motorized. Its a pretty small slot. I was kinda looking at this walmart stereo.. But idk i feel like i'm just buying junk if its from walmart.

walmart has okay deals sometimes but yeah i'd definitely avoid brands like that because they are just failures waiting to happen.
