I put a pair of Rancho shocks in the rear of my Pathfinder as it was ridiculously bouncy and tippy all the time, and now it thumps over every small bump. But not over large ones really at all, and they are made for the vehicle for sure

Main thing I'm wondering as I haven't actually ever replaced a pair of shocks on a DD before is if they will break in and soften up and stop thumping so much. And they aren't bottoming or topping out either as far as I know

Yes. They might not be friendly on square edged bumps depending on the valving of the shocks. Bilstein are my go to for performance and ride comfort at moderate cost.

Wouldn't expect too much from ranchos.

Only thing I could find for them really. Could not track down bilsteins as hard as I tried, what about pro comps?

They should make one that fits. What year is it?

ranchos are the worst, they suck big time, take them off and throw them away

bilstein makes a shock for you, just call them and they will give you a part #

+1 on the bilsteins. You may need some different springs too. You need the right amount of dampening as well as the proper spring rate to hit a critically dampened point (no excess bounce, but enough suspension to absorb what it needs to).
