I personally dislike the '15 series. The new turbo is twin scroll, which sure that is amazing for performance, but the downfall means it can only run with equal length headers.
So, no Subaru boxer sound. My buddy has a '15 STi and I've driven it a bit (still stock) so it's really hard to compare it vs. the feel of mine ('14 STi) which has about $5,000 put into it.
I'm not a fan of the sideview mirrors being mounted on the door. I delt with that while driving a 2012 Impreza and the mirrors were constantly in the way when trying to view through a turn.
And lastly, never buy the first year model of a new car, wait until the next year model is released (No 2015, wait for 2016) because by then, most of the kinks are fixed out of it (I.E. Electrical issues, technical issues, etc).
If you're going for a stock car that you don't plan on putting any money into, then just get a 2015 WRX I s'pose, as mentioned above. Has SI-Drive and better MPG, and if needed, you can maintain yourself whilst flying onto the highway or fighting through traffic if you're an aggressive driver.
Only the new 2.0 motor in the WRX has a twin-scroll turbo with equal length headers. The STi still has the 2.5 with the UEL and the boxer rumble.
