I bought a Lancer Ralliart about a week ago and found out the heater/ac knob is broken off and the stick the knob is suppose to go over is snapped too. In order to replace the knob do I need to buy a complete cover or is it possible to fix it without doing that? I found a cover/plate on *** for 160 bucks and I really don't want to spend that much on a new one.
Here are some pics to make it easier to explain what I'm talking about

Here's my piece with the broken knob:

Here's the picture of one I found on ***:

Also I've tried using some needle nosed pliers to turn the knob to get the heater to work but it doesn't even want to turn. Do I need to replace the whole thing or is it possible to just fix the broken knob? It's starting to get cold and I'd really like a working heater. :/
It's currently stuck on AC.

Actually that's the wrong part I think. This is what I think I really need and it's even more expensive >.<
