Seeing what you more knowledgeable people think.
I have a 01 Silverado 1500 Z71 I want to put a leveling kit and aftermarket wheels on.
Should be no problem with these 2 correct?
Wheels -

Leveling Kit -
http://www.roughcountry.com/gm-leveling-lift-kit-283n2.html
I want to keep the stock 16" size, Im not fond of big wheels, I see the factory wheels are 16x7 with 265/70/16 tires.
I was going to keep the 265s on there till they wear out cause they are nice BFG's with a lot of tread left then possibly go with a 285s, that should look okay till then correct?
The aftermarket wheels are 16x8 instead of the factory 16x7, so that alone will make the tire stick out from the fender a little more correct? I ordered some OEM fender flares because the wheels are already at the end of the fender.
The backspacing on the aftermarket wheels is 5.43 vs the factory 5.5 wheels. A lower backspacing number also means it will stick out a touch further right?
So the truck will have a slightly wider stance given im going from a 5.5 to a 5.43 backspacing and from a 16x7 to a 16x8 wheel correct?
Also I was likely just going to pay someone to install the leveling kit as to not fuck anything up, how much would something like that charge? My dad is a mechanic so that would help, but he doesnt really have any experience with leveling kits and lift kits.
Ive used these people before for parts on a previous vehicle
http://www.ridesofconover.com/
they do awesome work from what I can tell, probably expensive af tho lol..
Im also going to need an alignment after either correct? So I might as well do both the leveling kit and wheels at the same time then get the alignment done?
Thanks

There's not really any point in a leveling kit if you're not getting bigger tires. I'd say just get the rims for now if you really want them and then wait until you're ready to get new tires for the lift.

Yeah probably best. How will the new wheels stick out?

The stockers are 8 wide...?
I was just looking this up the other week. The avalanche stockers are 7 wide. I had some 305/70s that wouldn't work on the avalanche 7 wide wheel
E/ (I have a set I of silverado and avalanche wheels )

Naw, stocks are 16x7
Says it right on the door, plus I looked online to confirm.
I'll be transferring my 265/75/16s BFGs to my new 16x8 wheels

This. If you put a leveling or lift kit on it you have to at least go with 33's. I personally wouldn't go past 35's and a 4inch lift

35s with just a leveling kit would be stupid
Dont want a lift, just the truck leveled
32.5+ would look best
Im now thinking 18s with like a 275/70 or 285/65
Guy I work with has the same truck with a leveling kit and 285/70/17
So im using that for an idea of how I want mine to look
The 285/70/17 is damn near identical to the 285/65/18 except the 18 is more rim and less side wall.
The 18s are 18x9
How would that stick out, my fender flares arrived today
