Aww....That sucks dude...Sorry to hear.
If you're looking for AWD, and something unique.
Look into an E30 325IX
AWD e30? Yes please.
I'm also biased because one of my closest friends just bought one. Whatacar...
Shit happens....I was driving on some country backroads at like 9PM, it was dark and I was unfamiliar with the area, came over the crest of a hill and there was a stop sign. I would've been able to stop no problem had there not been wet leaves on the ground. Slammed on the brakes and tried turning hard to the right, no dice, kept sliding straight, last ditch effort I tried flooring it to get it to turn, traction control wasn't gonna let that happen either, so I literally slid straight through the stopsign, across the road, into the guard rail at all of 30 mph or so, no speed was lost whatsoever from when I started to brake to when I hit the guard rail, lol. Luckily I didn't get hurt, but shit happens I guess. Cop didn't write me any kind of ticket, guy felt so bad he even gave me a ride home lol. I would've signed it over today but the lot was closed, going there Monday to get all of my shit out of it, I'll get some daytime pics.
As for the cars I really like the WRX. To me the STi is not worth the marginal increase in power at such cost. Understandably they have a much better transmission and the adjustable diff, but they are just too flashy for me, that spoiler and all of that other stuff isn't really my bag. The WRX seems to do it with alot more subtlety....I love that boxer rumble too, all I'd change if I bought the car was the exhaust to let it breathe a little better, don't care about gains, I just want a nice deep rumble, but not too loud and obnoxious. Sorry bros, no hellas or mudflaps. Looking into the 2011-2013 widebody, I don't want to buy new, trying to keep total cost at around 26-27kish altogether, I can go higher but this is just for a new daily, and I like to buy my daily cars for what they are, no extreme modifications planned for them as I need to rely on them. I was also looking into another S2000, but this time to DD all year round, but I don't even think Blizzaks and a ton in the trunk would get me through a good New England winter. I want something newerish....shit, I might even end up getting another Si, I really did like that car, but I'm just considering options since I have an open plate right now. Right now I'm really set on the Subie for practical reasons, 4 doors, awd, I like the sound of the motor. Being different is cool and all, but for a daily I'm not overly concerned, not trying to rep any specific demographic.
