So I failed my emissions test for the SECOND time because my check engine light doesn't even read at all.

When I just turn it on (not all the way to start) and the lights show up on the dash, all the lights will read except my check engine light, and for that reason I failed my test...

If you've seen my previous threads you will know I'm not car savvy at all... just looking for someone who knows their way with cars and can help teach me how to replace the fuse (or whatever the issue is) and get that light back on...

I've spent so much money on these repairs and don't want to have to spend anymore for this...

Unless someone can tell me that having this fixed at a shop is cheap?

Thanks thanks thanks!

Cheers

No check engines light at all?
depending on the make of the vehicle it is wired in with something els. Example, gm vehicles check engine light is tied in with the cigarette lighter. That fuse blows, no lighter or check engine light.

I'm sure it was. The light was on for the cat and instead of spending money they just took the time to take the dash apart and take the light out

install a candle behind your dash to illuminate the check engine symbol

make sure not to light the candle until you start the emissions test, as it may result in fire.

Reading this sort of stuff makes me so happy I live in a state where I don't need my car inspected
