Unlimited carfax doesn't really exist anymore, shes gonna have to bite the bullet and pay it.

I would never buy a car from a person who didn't provide a Carfax or CarProof (for Canadian cars primarily and a much better service).

This especially if it's any type of dealership. If private sale, pay up.

You should never expect a private seller to provide either. Only dealers.

I would. The seller needs to tell me why I should buy the car they're trying to sell me. Looking at private sales I'd say roughly half have a CarProof or CarFax.

Where you're looking doesn't exist. Very rarely will you see a private seller supply a carproof or carfax. The seller can tell you the history, its up to you whether you want to trust them or pull the report yourself.

Kijiji and autotrader.ca. Many times the private sale has a car proof. Giving one of those reports helps sell a car.

They present it as an option but no one ever has it lol. Go pull 10 ads at random and chances are not 1 will have it.
