Looking for something to take down some trails and just play around on. Budget isnt set but <2K would be nice as I also intend on buying a wakeboarding boat come spring.

Any recommendations? I want something small/light/fast, not a big ATV.

sport or utility? also depends on how fast you want to go. i can have fun all day on my 300ex but its not the fastest thing out there by far. ive been seeing some 400cc quads on facebook trade pages for 1.5k-2k but you have to make sure they are in decent running shape.

$2k budget isnt firm, but the boats im looking at are between $20k-$30k so the less I spend the better. At the same time I want something fairly modern looking

Id love an Axis but they are pricey.

Other option is a Centurion Avalanche

For trail bombing in that price range pick up a honda 400ex in good shape. Most of them are ragged out now but they are very sturdy and have plenty of power for casual trail riding. The maintenance costs are much lower than a 450 as well.

Id love something really close to new, but I dont think it would be a good idea to spend that much yet. 2005+ would be nice. Not too sure on hours. More concerned with condition.
