Would you guys stay away from a 2006 VW Golf CL or GL cant remember (not a diesel tho)

60k miles, manual, full equip, old woman is trying to sell it $3000 at my job .
there's really a small market for those models in my area so im wondering if it would be a decent purchase.
i've seen a couple trying to get 5k+ with a lot more mileage.

I know exactly f?!k-all about Golfs. That said, I'd probably try to Google consumer reviews of said car, see if there's anything that goes wrong with them on the regular, or if they review decently.

Owning a vw is like having a "special" child.

A few friends have VWs. They are all falling apart from the seams, but the motors are solid.

Personally, I wouldn't but if you don't mind a lot of minor repairs than sure.
