I sent my cousin all the info to get a quote to paint my Trans Am. He is quoting it a couple different ways so we will see. I might help him do some of the prep at his shop. We would only have to take it to the body shop he manages to spray it. I'll do that if the hands off quote is over $3500. I'm definitely doing the AMG silver i talked about before. I don't want to do the engine compartment or door jambs which is required for a color change so i picked the most badass silver i could find. It will be that color unless the materials turn out to be outrageous.

It's the only silver i've ever seen that "pops." It looks wet from across, reflective from straight on, and shadows from above and below. The shadows are key. I think the voluptuous body on a ws6 t/a will cast a lot of those dynamic shadows.

I could paint the new bumper cover to match for less than $100 and slap it on. I want to paint the whole car a non-factory color. Everything else on the car is pretty well sorted out until i build the trans and replace the clutch.

That paint is going to be insanely expensively. I wouldn't change colors period without doing the jambs/bay though tbh. Unless it was a vinyl wrap.
