Engine/transmission option: 3800 OR 3.8L/AT
are you mechanically inclined/have the right tools?: SOMEWHAT
Issue(s): When I turn the ignition over all lights, display, head lamps go dead and car doesn't start.
I've researched online and come up with a few things but after trying them I've had no luck.

Would greatly appreciate some help, will donate if given useful advise that works.

Dead battery
or loose connection

Play with the terminals, if nothing still. Boost it

I pulled the terminals off and scrubbed them with baking soda solution and a wire brush, just bought a brand new battery. Still no success.

The connection at the post is good, here's a link to the exact symptoms of what is happening with it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ITvU_vXMrDY

I've tried switching the starter relay like the guy who posted the video but no luck.

No clicking noise, it acts like the starter isn't getting any juice.

Since all the dash lights go dead I figured it's an electrical short somewhere, was just hoping someone on here may of dealt with it before. I'm no mechanic.

try jumping your starter or if you have a volt meter check the hot wire to the starter

Hit the starter with a hammer a few times
