All of my co-workers are cruiser kinda guys.. They are no help.

Will be in the market for a sports bike ( c rocket ) within the next month or so.

Info and pic? What would you go with and why?

Can be 600 - 1200 CC

I like gixers and hyabusas ( but my budget isn't great )

But I've only owned 1 bike and not what you would consider "knowledged"

Price range is ~ $9000. ( can be new or pre owned )

May donate fg for detailed help.

you are going to have to go and physically try them out.

how it feels to you when you sit on it is a huge factor.

seat to ground height, body weight distribution, knee angle etc etc

Yea, I plan to narrow down a list and then try those, but for now I want some opinions & preferences from more seasoned riders.

Thank you though

pretty much all opinion/preference until you get into the performance part of it which is basically irrelevant since i doubt you'll ever see any real speed on it.

are you short? cause being like 5'2 is going to make some models off limits unless you want to modify them.

I understand your point, however I would just like to see what bikes people like and if there are any models to avoid etc.

and I am 6'2 - But I was thinking about lowering from factory height, for stability and aesthetics.

Any preference on that?

you gotta keep in mind that engineers put a lot of time and effort into designing the bike so lowering it is generally a bad choice.

to do it properly gets expensive and given the budget you are going to be better off getting a bike that fits your wants/needs as a stock bike.

you looked into bikes like the ktm duke 690?

As much as I hate to say this because everyone everywhere wants a gsxr or gixxer * I would have to say If you have never riden before go with the suzuki because of the three difference preformance modes, that change the power delivery from 100% throttle response to I believe 75% throttle to 50% throttle base on mode selection

Gl and dont be a squid... get riding gear :P

Kawasaki Ninja
Suzuki GSXR
Honda CBR RR
Yamaha R

Pick what CC you want

Pick which of the bikes above fits best

purchase

?????

Profit

/e for 9k you can a very low mileage bike that is only 3-4 years old, personally I lean towards Yamaha/Honda for reliability reasons.

Here is a picture of a 2012 CBR600rr, you could expect to find something similar for 9k
