Hey guys,

My '06 bmw 528i is stick, I used to drive it a lot, in the last about two years, I've driven it once (probably 18 months ago).

I'm afraid to drive it, for fear of fucking the clutch up real bad.

I guess I'm asking because I'm likely selling my automatic protege to get a stick '15 impreza, but with that, two questions:

1) Is it like riding a bike? Will I be just fine?
2) Is it worth it getting a manual car when 90% of my driving is in the city?

Like a bike. You never forget . Every clutch is diffrent though . I've never had a problem though.

City driving go for an auto for easier. But it's all preference

You might be rusty but it will come right back.

It's all up to your preferences. I have 2 manual vehicles and 1 auto. At times i get tired of clutching but its worth it to get the enjoyment at other times.

Obviously auto for city driving...how else will you be able to honk and flip someone off simultaneously?

Haha

I use my left and right foot in place of my horn most of the time. It gets their attention in a different way.
