I'm not very car savvy. Need help identifying what this wire is for.
I'm assuming its for the power steering pump. Picture is from a 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS.
Trying to buy the car but supposedly that wire is causing the service light to turn on.(according to his mechanic)

Service lights on and y don't know anything about it, move on.

do you notice weak acceleration? That is the ground wire to your flux capacitor.

No need to take his word for it when it's easy to figure out why the service light is on.

Well without a code scanner you are basically taking his word for it which is a bad idea.

If you don't know what you're doing or how to fix or diagnose it, buy something else.....
