Did you even read the article? If it wasn't for the cobalt fiasco they wouldn't be doing this. If you hit any ignition with your knee there is a possibility it will turn. Common sense... This is to prevent sue happy assholes from winning a big settlement thanks to the negative press from the cobalt.

I own one, and i won't be taking it in for this recall. There is nothing wrong with the ignition and i dont want a new fob.

I know its a preventative measure, but it still just looks bad on their behalf.

My god as if you have one of those pieces of shit. You'd be the last person I would've expected to get one.

It's not really my kind of car but it fell into my lap. It has grown on me. The only thing I have to complain about is the night time visibility when backing up. With the heritage spoiler a backup camera should be standard.

It doesn't drive like it weighs 3800lbs. Good power, good brakes, and really good handling considering the weight. The engineers made it work. There is a reason the up models smash the mustang on a road course.

Now like I said, there is nothing wrong with the ignition. This recall is GM closing possible loose ends since they are in the spotlight. I will take some pictures to show how bad you would have to fuck up to even hit it with your knee in the first place.

So. It looks like you need at least a 30" inseam and you must sit uncomfortably close to the wheel to get close to the key. My knees are against the dash and touching the wheel to get close to it.

Oddly enough the same thing happens in my Ram if i slide the seat forward. The angle of the pedals in relation to the seat actually makes it easier to hit. I guess they should recall all 3rd gen dodge rams too.

This is stupid.
