Been wanting to have a project ever since I bought my first car. I have owned around 6 cars now and finally bought one that is worth modding to me.

I am not just going to do bolt ons and call this a build thread. I plan on pulling the engine in the future and doing some work on it.

Car: 2012 Mazdatorquesteer 3

Short term goals(By end of summer): 300+ whp. Should be very easy to accomplish with this car.

Long term goals: Big turbo build. Forged pistons and rods; the whole deal. 400+ hp

Comparing my mod list & tune to various dyno threads I should be pushing around 270hp at the moment. After the fmic/DP and a 93 octane freektune, I will be in the 300s
The car comes stock with around 240whp, with boost limited to 5 and 8 psi for 1st and second gear. The Cobb ap flash takes that limit away and puts my boost up to 17psi

Current mod list:

Stage II Corksport SRI & TIP
JBR rmm and pmm
Cobb Accessport - Running stage I 93 maps for SRI and TIH. (currently out for repair but will be back in a few days)

I also have a high pressure fuel pump waiting to be installed, and after that I should be good up to big turbo as far as supporting mods for the engine.

The first things I did to the car were ricer mods ofc. Painted the calipers and side view mirrors, painted the back bumper bottom, and I picked up some new wheels. I am also picking up a pair of enkeis this weekend.

Next mod on my list after high pressure fuel pump is installed is either downpipe or TMIC. I haven't decided yet.

They come stock with 260 at the crank so how do you figure 240whp. ..?

They barely have a 10 percent loss at the wheel with this car and fwd cars in general usually omly experiencel around a 15% drive train loss.

Here are a couple examples. The first two I pulled from Google

Those are on a dyno....

Stock and stock tuned on a dyno are completely different. And dyno vs accessport is completely different.
