Friend wants to know if plasti dip is legitimate like some
People suggest.

Anyone have experience using it on rims?

Does it really peel off as easily as people say?

Sick rides, have you experience any fading? And was it easy to apply?

My OEM wheels are plastidipped. Lasted about ~4 months before peeling (with heavy winter use). I hear its hard as hell to remove though. In a tedious sense.

Hmm well it's summer time here so hopefully it holds up

Were on our 4th coat now and it's looking pretty dang good tbh... Messed up on one spot but it should be an easy fix

If you have a clean surface when you apply, and apply the correct amount of coats, it's easy to get off. It's the overspray/thin coats that are more of a bitch to get off.

How did you mess up? If you have bumps/tears or other imperfections, it's semi difficult to get a smooth finish from that. You're going to have to spot remove the problem and respray.

My entire Miata is plasti dipped. And though I don't think it's a good idea to plasti dip an entire car, it's holding up surprisingly well.
