Depends where you live. Under 50cc just needs a registration in Michigan. Anything over is considered a motorcycle.

I dont recall if the scooter im getting for free had a license plate. i doubt it did
since i have CA driver's license already, i would be good right

in ca, yeah

i dont really know anything other than when we got pulled over for riding our pit bikes around (ktm80 pumped up was like 115cc or something) we always told them they were 50s and that they made them actually 49ccs so they could be ridden on the road, then never really bothered us

i contacted dmv, the lady said for motorized scooters, a regular license is good enough
