I got my new civic and it's been a few months, but I wash and wax the car probably every week...

I'm OCD and I will go over the car multiple times until I feel like it's spotless, and it's usually a 2-3 hour process.
Is it bad to overwash/wax your car?

I'm more or less just worried about the paint since it's still new

Since its black you can swirl it pretty easy. If you use straight strokes with a lambs wool mitt and the 2 bucket method it will be fine if you keep a coat of wax on it.

I have my detailer do an all day job on my car 2x a year, and I wash + mothers spray wax + rain x every weekend ~1-2 hours. Paint still looks fine.

Swirling is like the karate kid "wax on, wax off" thing right?

Never learned how to properly wax a car, I just do what makes it look good.

If that is what "swirling" is, I always do swirls to wax lol

I wash my car probably 3 times a month.

I like to keep my liquid red paint looking clean as can be.
I clean the inside as well, nothing like a clean car
