Long story short Im bored with 300 RWHP but dont want to sell my Mustang.
Im at like 92k miles so FI would probably include a forged rotating assembly just to be safe and to give me more room to grow later on.

But, I could probably manage a Coyote swap for less than that. The Coyote sounds sick compared to my 4.6L and has pretty good power stock but I could definitely make more with the 4.6 going FI.

What would you guys do? The goal would be ~500RWHP streetable. Preferably with room to hit 600+

Just fuck it. 5.0 and boost it. Get it over with
some cams and head work.

You do realize that in order for 5.0's to hit 500whp NA will cost you many thousands in supporting mods right?

if you really want a 5.0 I would just sell your mustang and buy a 2011+

Unless you're a toddler I think you are mistaken on the 5.0 he's talking about.

I've heard the coyote swap is a nightmare.

Sell it and buy an 03/04 cobra. Pullies, midpipe, catback, tune, done.

Theres a lot of guys getting pretty close without major work.

And Id rather keep the 05-09 body style.

i'd like to see that on a non-skewed dyno. I see these posts quite frequently on the forums and the general consensus is that you might as well go with a supercharger for better gains and about the same price

Lots of them are hitting 500 NA but its with heads, cams, and intake manifolds. You could probably manage low/mid 400s without those major mods pretty easily.

I havent read up on what you need for the swap in a long time but there are engine and transmissions on *** for 6-8k used. American muscle has a control kit for 1.5k. If thats all you need than <$9k isnt that bad.

well i only have lth/xpipe and a tune and im at 418 to the wheels, adding a cai/boss 302 manifold and cams would certainly put you in close proximity of 500s to the wheel.
