Okay, so I got some colored license plate lights, and they work great. . But after driving for about 15 minutes they shut off, but will work again when im assuming they cool, what can I do to make sure they stay cool?

Check for bad grounds, that can lead to higher temperatures.

Corrosion in the socket can do the same.
