I have a 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt - does the recall affect all the models or only in particular areas?

Is there a way to verify if my ignition was already changed (based on the serial number maybe?)

2005-2007 cobalt, hhr, 2007 g5, 2006-2007 pontiac solstice, 2003-2007 saturn ion, and 2007 saturn sky. atleast thats what the recall letter says that i got for my cobalt. easiest way to verify is the get your vin and call the service center at your nearest chevy dealership

You should get rid of it regardless of a recall

It's actually a very reliable car, I prefer it to my previous cars.

My girl has a 2008...i didn't know about this, neither did she.

She has ignition problems too, starting the car. Hasn't had any problems while driving yet (*knock on wood*) but turning the key before hand, etc...

afk calling today
