08 honda accord

All if the sudden...
Radio will not work in accessory mode or ON mode
It will only work if the car is running

I put a new battery in but that didn't help

I even tried playing in AUX mode with my iPod and it will not work unless the car is running

Any ideas ?
I check a few fuses and they were all good
Everything is stock. No mods etc

Normally you could listen to the radio without the car running.....
It's not a big deal but annoying, I would like to know why

Thanks

lol yeah, missed the "stock part" lol, maybe the accessory wire from the ignition is unhooked or burnt or grounded or something, or maybe the ignition isnt "Engaging" so to say the "accessory" mode. like its not "clicking" in. idk

After just playing around for 2 hours with it , it turns out the navigation system and radio are supposed to come on in accessory/ on mode(thought it was just radio... Never really paid attention to that). Now,once every few try's the nav system will come in but it flashes in and out like it's not getting enough juice to fully come on, as well as the radio at the same time.

I checked all the fuses in all 3 box , I'm wondering if there is some kind of "accessory wire " for the radio / nav system that could be loose? Not sure where it would be
I don't understand because when the car is running everything works 100%

well the accessory wire is different from the ignition wire. i Believe, i dont remember, im pretty sure it is though, maybe its not making a good connection? contacts on the ignition could be bad? if its like its not getting enough juice? idk man.

meh how often do you listen to the radio with the car in accessory any way? Also maybe try checking a accord forum to see if anyone has had this issue or not. Most people here won't be able to help wih this as it doesn't seem like a general fix
