if anything he proved gms bologna about more keys being the issue to be incorrect.
if theres enough weight and they pull down at the right angle they very easily could be causing these. the fault is the switch itself the guy stated how hard it is to turn to start the car but how easy it is to turn it backwards. its just that with all the shit people put on their keyrings the weight makes it a lot easier for the switch to turn itself off.
its really not the first time to hear more keys = bad for cars. all that added weight can wear the tumblers out of your switch from the weight pulling down. those switches are meant for the weight of the key, not the 5 pounds of crap that you have connected to your key.

Do this test on my car hahaha
but to JD I didn't watch the video close enough I guess. I'll watch again when I have some free time. But lanyards are in my experience the biggest nono. My girlfriend put one on her set whenergy I first bought the car. Baadq
yeah ive never put a lanyard on mine. i have a carabiner that connects my car keys with my set of truck keys but i just have maybe 8 keys all together. i have 1 key that is dedicated to staying in the ignition of my truck at all times. the keysets go into my lower cubby hole while im working.
