Anyone with a hydraulic clutch long enough will encounter the "oh shit pedal hit the floor" situation at least once in their lifetime. I've had to drive home like this more times than I'd like to admit.
Plus I find it is an awesome skill to have. It makes you better understand the rotational differences between the engine/flywheel and the drivetrain. And I feel it makes you a better driver...Er... well for me at least..
Low geared vehicles clutchless shift a lot. Saves wear and tear on the clutch (Captain Obvious), you just need to be able to syncho/rev match pretty well to make it fall into gear without destroying main gear teeth. haha
Plus it gets you all the ladies.
