Model: Acura
Make: Integra LS/RS Motor
Year: 1996
engine/transmission option: Auto

My sister has it sitting for an entire winter. I decided to take a look, It seems to crank but won't start. I've already done the following:

Battery tested
New Spark plugs, Distributor, Distributor blade (I think that's what you called it), Ignition coil
Checked for gas pressure, there's gas reaching the sparks
Tried engine starter fluid through throttle body to see if it starts, doesn't start even after you spray it in.

90% of the time when it cranks and doesn't start it's usually the ignition coil but it doesn't seem to be the case for this lady. The spark plugs are getting sparks at all 4 of them as well as gas going through to the sparks plugs. I'm at witts end on what could possibly be wrong with it. One of the O'reilly guy mentioned it could be the Crankshaft Sensor(?) which I'm not too familiar with.

Thoughts and Inputs on how to crack this problem open will be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like the timing, which in your case could mean the crank position sensor is no longer able to tell the ecu how fast the motor is spinning, so it doesn't know the timing of the motor.

That could very well lead to the situation you're experiencing.

quick response from my phone.

Thank you for the quick response, that is what me and a few other's I've asked have seem to narrow it down to is the timing. When I have some time I might prop open the timing belt cover and take a peek at the condition of the belt.

Crank position sensor is possible, or maybe cam position sensor. Also check all of your grounds first before spending money. Also check your fuses.

Don't believe my model has the cam position sensor, the guy at O'reilly didn't see one show up for my model/make. I'm sure all my grounds are stable, any particular fuse that I should be particular about while checking them?

srry but its hilarious that u guys are just repeating what op thinks the problem is and trying to sound like u know what ur talking about lmao

if i were op i would take a hammer and give a good whack to every sensor i could find. if that dont work then buy one of these http://www.amazon.com/b?node=15707381 and go from there

The good ones are kind of pricey, but it definitely is a good investment for future use.

I'm just a backyard google mechanic, nothing official so I wouldn't know where the 1st sensor would be anyways :P
