I finally got my loan.
Loan is for $20k. I need to put $3500 down.
I have one month to purchase a car.
The loan is listed for a new car (2012+ under 40k miles)
Current:
2003 mustang v6
I live in south eastern Michigan. RWD is not an option.

Looking for-
gas mileage
Sporty style
Commute is about 45 miles a day
Id like to comfortably fit a hockey bag/couple golf bags
Would like to do well in the snow but that doesn't necessarily mean SUB

Been looking at-
Fusion new and old model
Cruze (could have had a loaded cruze for 18k but didnt pull the trigger)
Focus (would be new)
Some good gas mileage suv?

American made please.

I dont know anything about cars. with a tv or technology I can tell you exactly what is best. But with a car, I need to be told what and why.
Someone please tell me what tto do and why lol.

Note- my dad has a dealer license and I an buy from the auction no problem

In the smaller / decent gas milage SUV department my fiance got a 2014 Jeep Patriot last September, has 8k miles on it and loves it. Hers was a 4x4 automatic oscar mike edition so it came in between 25-26k out the door, but hers had like every option but navigation. I know they. She has a 2.4 L I4, and the 6 spd auto feels geared pretty well.

I have absolutely no idea why people in Michigan seem to think a RWD isn't an option lol

Agree. RWD is an option, learn to drive in the snow. Grew up in Ohio, spent several winters in Michigan visiting family, and now live in Kansas. Have always had RWD cars (I can't stand to drive FWD). I've literally never gotten stranded.
