I've got the car running I've driven it. It's super slow. (2.85) rear end so I decided to put a 3.92 LSD from an infinity j30 I'm getting a drive shaft to match rear end tomorrow. The problem I am having is the drive shafts/splines going into the Mercedes wheels. I'm a welder by trade an was Debating on cutting them and re welding them together. But would rather put j30 axles and some how completely change all the brake system and whole wheel assembly I'll take any ideas or help!

not sure if the 2.85 gears would make it super slow
a 1jz 190e should blow the tires off still even with that rear end ratio
You sure the engine is running right?
It should run a low 13 with very basic bolt ons in that car(exhaust intercooler ect)
On a turbo car longer gears can be a good thing also way less rpm on the freeway assuming its a street car
Can you swap the whole subframe or most of it?
Sounds like you already have the diff in the car if you are getting a driveshaft made
You can cut and weld the axles and use a sleeve that is welded over the axle

I've put the j30 diff in the cradle of the 190e, all it likes is for me to fabricate the drive shaft and axles! Pretty sure car runs perfect. It has 3" exhaust. Although turbos do sound wierd like they don't work right.
