Ok, couple things.

My father called me to see if I could find him a fuel filler door for his 02 Ford Explorer Sport.

The junkyard he went to told him that the Sport is different than the regular Explorer in regards to the fuel doors. (Idk if this is true).

Upon searching on car-part.com, they dont even list a Sport version. Any ideas?

Or can anyone help me find one online for sale? Preferably gloss white.

call another junkyard? drive to a junkyard and look at the part yourself? ive found some of the guys that pull parts in the yard will tell you anything whether or not its true. ive had one try to convince me a door handle from a late 80s nissan pickup was the same as my 91. it took me actually showing him the door handle to convince him he was stupid.

Summit has a cool billet. They let you choose sub model, but the doors for all sub models seem to be the same.

Come on, don't make billet fuel doors out to be 3 foot wings on the back of a Civic <.<

This is Maine. Its all spread out too far for me to care that much since its not my vehicle.

And mainly, I just want to know if the 4 doors and 2 doors have the same fuel door.

I did a little research. 4 door ones WILL NOT fit the 2 door "Sports". The fuel door on the sports are on the rear wheel well so they arent a full circle like the 4 doors.

Iso help finding a used one online.

Here you can see what I mean about the rear wheel well issue.
