I bought an accord couple months ago (about 5months ago) and it currently has 7.8k miles on it..
It makes a small screeching sound when I apply the brakes sometimes I was wondering if anyone knew what would be causing this? thank you!

Could be oxidation on the rotor surface (surface rust).

Could be brake pad material.

Could be new brakes still breaking in.

You could quickly look in through the wheel to assess pad thickness/life.

COULD be lots of things.

Better off just taking it to a bodyshop? and thanks for the fast response!

does your honda accord have a v-tec controller? that could cause brake screeching.

Oxidized brake pads are likely. The ones on my Vette did this very fast, though annoying it caused to real issues.
