If you want HID's the cheap way, you can just buy an hid kit and be done with it. But keep in mind, without proper projectors, HID's can blind the shit out of people. Theres a difference between the way hid and halogen optics work. That's why HID's in standard halogen headlights produce a lot of glare. I don't care who you ask or who says what, HID's don't belong in non-projector headlights. There are VERY few exceptions where certain cars were offered HID's in non-projector headlights but almost every car with HID's uses projectors. Again, the optics are completely different.

If you want to install HID's the proper way, head over to theretrofitsource.com and check out either their mini h1 or mini d2s setup. They're plug and play projectors. They require opening of the headlight and close to no or none at all modification to your headlight. I personally have the mini h1's in my 99 civic. Other than the fact that civics have never had HID's as an available option, you would never think they were aftermarket. The cut-off is beautiful and bi-xenon HID's are out of this world.

You CAN buy aftermarket headlights on fleabay but keep in mind, almost all of them are garbage, especially the really cheap ones. They're sealed poorly and the projectors themselves are trash.

This and nothing else. Do it right or don't do it.

Want more light with reflector housings? Use Phillips 9011 and 9012 HIR bulbs. Want HIDs? Retrofit projectors or fuck off.

I dont want to spend an hour stoaking the wood stove for 15 minitues of work. Their plug and play headlights, and no bumper removal or anytjing els required. Their already installed from the time i posted that pic

It Actually look me longer to get them out of the boxes and cleaned of the peanuts lmao!!

I love my cars factory headlights...A LOT.

13' VW GTI driver's edition.. HID adaptive lights, LED DRL's...they look so nice at night.
