Just get a new bumper cover. ~200$. Doesn't look like he got the rear fascia. Easy fix.

just tell the guy to toss you like $400. saves him from all the insurance bs and the higher premium.
Buy a junk bumper for like 100-200 and paint it. if not just find one your color. or it push it back in the tab and call it a day. Take the money and have nice night out lol

Depending on how big of a crook the body shop is the price could range greatly. This repair can be done for less than 100 dollars, but will it? Probably not.

But, this is how most body shops will see this task...

Charging between 50-100 dollars an hour for labor

1.) Removal of damaged bumper - 1 hour

2.) Prep of bumper for paint - 2 hours

3.) Paint bumper off car - .75 hours

4.) Reinstall bumper - 1 hour

And that's if the bumper isn't damaged structurally. Not including material costs.

The problem with most newer vehicles and their rubber bumpers is the fact that the mounting tabs almost ALWAYS snap off, regardless of intensity of impact.

Depending on how creative, or sympathetic the body shop is (most aren't) they could either hit you up for a whole new bumper cover, OR they may be able to fix the damaged existing bumper. The ladder does happen...But not often.

Bro, find a bumper at a scrap yard, get a company to sand and paint it, then put it on yourself.

If a body shop will do that.
