I guess if you totally ignore the fact that these manufacturers make a wide of engines, you may be ignorant enough to find this list useful.

Not in the slightest.. this is an advertisement to bring in sales for their warranty business. In the grand scheme of things it doesn't really tell you much.

Edit- Not to mention 2-3% failure rate doesn't seem to astronomical considering some other giant manufacturer rates.

I googled engine failure rate when I saw this. You should too. Seems to be kind of a big deal.
