Was curious because of his statement "Not everyone needs/wants RWD/AWD etc"
Because IMO, if its a DD you're looking for, AWD is probably the best way to go if you're looking for an all season DD.
AWD uses more gas, goes through tires twice as fast. FWD works perfectly fine in snow if you know how to drive.
I would go with something else over the focus ST, I like the GTI's more. But if you are getting it for performance. Trust me when I say high power FWD is more of a headache then you may realize. Making close to 300 whp in a fwd car will result in no traction. You can get plenty of decent low mileage rwd sports cars for the focus price. ANd have more performance options. Make 300 rwhp in a stock car instead of buying a new focus. dropping 2-3k into it to make stock rwd sports car performance, and not be able to use most of the power.
