Ive posted here a few times about my indecision on a new car.
I think its going to be a new fusion

I am wondering though:

Aside from just wanting a new car, is there a reason why I would want a newer body style (2013-2013) fusion vs the older (2010-2012) body style Fusion?

Ive never bought a car before so I am wondering.
Aside from the "keeping up with the jones's" it seems kind of silly: I can get a loaded used 2010-2012 body style for $12-17k or a few options/lux package in a newer (ever used newer) body style fusion for $22-29k.

Other than aesthetics, is there a reason one would want a newer body style fusion?
Are there better options for my money ( live in michigan. Wants: decent in weather conditions like snow, tech like USB which almost standard now, heated seats lol)?

Would it be silly to get the newer body style when I could save almost 10k? Buy? Lease?

New cars are stressful!
Im currently in a 2003 Mustang v6 with 108,000 miles.

I think as a responsible person making ~45k a year, living at home mind you, I should limit my car purchase price to not much more than 20k ;)

Plus RWD in michigan sucks

I think the new fusions look really nice, slick, and much better than the previous generation.

If you can't see why its obvious that you'd want a new one both in and out we can't help you.

I had a rental 2010. It was boss. I loved every thing about it.
Good pick up for a small 4door econobox. Much better than the Focus in terms of space and "luxury", but about the same amount of power in terms of feel. I only had it for a week or so, and found the ford connect thing pretty easy to learn and use.
Its a little...plasticky, and there are some squeaks from the interior while driving on back roads, but that could have been from wear and tear from being a rental. I gave it hell, and it kept up. Great mileage. etc etc
IMO: The slight advantages of the newer generation are severely outweighed by the money saved. You could get the older one, and a beater 4wd truck for the bad bits of winter.
Either way, sexy cars.
