Im probably about to lift my Jeep 2.5-3" and if I do I would like some 35s to go with it.
What would you guys recommend? I dont know much about offroad so Im not really sure if Im better of with a smaller rim and huge tire or something bigger with less rubber.
Low budget would be best but once I know generally what Im looking for ill probably start scouring craigslist for a decent deal.

Also, what width rims do must offroad/mud tires normally fit? Ideally I would like to buy some 35s for my stock rims and once I get a bit more mod money change the rims out later on.

In for info aswell
I always thought all tires became frozen ( so to speak ) and in a much harder state in -15 and colder

Also just going by what i do know. When you buy a brand new vehicle with oem rims and big tires. They always have 18-20 inch rims with the bigger tires. So i would assume they do that for a reason.. Vs small 15-16 inch and more rubber
/ i also speek in celcius

federal couragia m/t's are a very good bang for your buck tire

I've ran them on pullers, and daily drivers and was surprised at the overall performance. No they dont bite like irok's and they don't wear like BFG's but they do very well in the mud/dirt and fair pretty decent in snow/slush for a mud tire. i got 46k out of a set of 35x12.5r20's on a 3/4 ton diesel. but 46k was every last mile you could get out of them. slicks have more tread then those tires did when i changed them lol

last time i checked you can get a 35x12.5r20 for right under 300 bucks per tire.

I would, but anything over 35 is going to cost me a LOT more just because of the supporting mods I would need.

15,16,16.5,17,18,20, and even 22 is starting to get more popular with the mall crawlers.

Generally the bigger the wheel the higher the tire price gets, so if you can stay with a 16 or 17" wheel over a brodozer 20 or 22 you can probably save yourself 50-150 bucks a tire depending on what you are looking at.
