Ok so I haven't really thought about this until now that my gf mentioned it.
I bought a truck several months ago that has 315/75/16 tires on it vs the factory 245/75/16 on the door.

Well I was doing about 85-90 on the highway and she said she was also doing 85-90 but I was pulling hard from her.

How much of a difference between the those two tire sizes would affect me at 85-90 mph? How fast was I actually going do you think?
Also if someone could tell me how fast I would be going at 45/55/60/65/70/75 that'd be awesome, if it's to much work tell me how i can do it.

Also, ive read having bigger tires affects your mpg, burning more gas ive always heard of course but I mean for instance the odometer is also off, so Im getting better gas mileage then I think (i calculated about 8mpg vs the stock 11 city 15 highway), that sound about right?

Those are only 33s you should not see nuch of a difference anywhere
If it pulls, get a alignment and balance those tires

Mpg, odo, etc will not be effected to any extent that you notice it and becomes a problem. Or your the firstguy ive ever herd of having problems with 33s

Also if ur getting 8 mpg i hope your in a old carb chevy 350 LOL thats fucking terrible, what is the truck?

Well it could be more then 8, i haven't really tested it all that much. I just filled it, tripped the odometer, went to like 1/4 of gas left and added some to it.
Might be like 10 or more idk.
It's a 99 Ram 1500 4x4

What size tires are 35's for a 16 inch rim, do they make 35's for 16 inch rims?

Lol your mpg is terrible. Fix that
I was getting upwards of 16mpg city driving like an asshole when i had my 318. Air/fuel filtera, plugs, wires, check codes. Spend $200-300 and have it payed off in 2-3 monrhs with the gas ull save.
Assuming you even have the v8 , which i hope you do

35s for 16 rims, yes they make em. 33s are plenty tho man, unless you do offroading and can make it worth while, bigger the tire the faster u blow through a already shitty front end

Well I bought the truck cause I wanted a truck, and I thought it looked nice with bigger tires and a lift, although I don't offroad with it much I like the look of it.
It's a stepping stone till I build more credit so I can buy a newer one. :)

And yes it's the V8, 5.9L

And as I said it might be more then 8mpg, I think I just didn't add it up right or something, what's a ez way to test it?

And it's prolly the gear ratio thats hurting it cause of the bigger tires right? I mean I control the throttle on the highway and city in a way so the truck doesn't keep shifting tho.

Also, just curious what size tire is a 35 inch on a 16 inch rim? 345/75/16? 365/75/16? Ya as I said I dont offroad much but I like the look :)

Ohh its the 360, well no doubt youve made some friends at the gas station. Still wouldnt hurt to tune her up a bit

And you need to look up the specs of the truck, take the lift, and figure out the tire size that will fit. Because i dont know off hand. If you want a lazy answer to that question directly go to a dodge forum. Tell then year, model, lift , goal and rim size . Or go to a tire shop and they can tell you what should fit

Fill the tank, reset tne odo. And run that tank empty. Google how many gallons your tank holds, and do the math with how many miles you got

the math doesnt work if your odometer isnt getting correct values due to a tire size change…..

idk man, my 1974 F100 on 39s with a 5.9 BB gets better than 10 something is wrong there if you are only getting 10 and not beating the shit outta it you need to investigate wtf is going on

but im pretty sure 315/75/16 are 35s and a 305/75/16 is a 33
my old Z71 had 305s and they was 32.9 inches (close enough to be 33s IMO)

but you can take it to a shop to have it re-calibrated to the tire size
